I've been really debating in my mind about change in my own life... i know i need something to change cause i'm just not 100 percent happy..(which is okay... but i know that i can change it.) Being happy has been my goal for the last year and I'm finally starting to see the things i need to change in order to make myself happier.. i just can't seem to actually DO it!
"Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to an understanding of ourselves."
One thing starting today i am going to try and do is to change all my passwords for my accounts that i log into a hundred times a day to something that i want to be aware of and focus on.. i often just go on autopilot and forget to focus on the present so that is a way i'm gonna try to get myself in the moment. That way i will have to actually think about what i'm typing, not just pushing buttons and waiting for that screen to pull up.
"To live in perpetual want of little things is a state, not indeed of torture, but of constant vexation."
"Be happy in the moment, thats enough. Each moment is all we need, not more!"
As I sit at my desk at work and wonder why it is SOO slow somedays and i just long for a busy day so i can actually feel like i accomplished something, i realized that i can bring my own work to work( so to say). I've been reading lots of books and taking notes and just trying to use my time wisely! It is limited but i can get somethings that i WANT to get done, done.
Laughing out loud is a great way to brighten my mood as well as smiling at people that i dont know. I find happiness and joy in seeing other people happy, so if there is something i can do to brighten there day, i try. :) a smile goes a long way!
"Act the way you want to feel"
"THE DESIRE TO CHANGE WAS MEANINGLESS IF I COULDN'T FIND A WAY TO MAKE THE CHANGE HAPPEN." Getting control of your life can make you much happier, its a big aspect in learning and understanding ourselves, also important for our own wellbeing to gain control of our own lives! To fulfill happiness in our own lives can be a huge accomplishment! keep your head up and find a way to make the change you want to in your own life! you are worth it!

YogA
So a few posts ago I had asked if anyone had any experience with meditation or yoga, and i never got a response so i decided to be proactive and just go for it! I've always wondered what all the talk was about yoga and what not, i decided to give it a try!
My first class was really good, i loved every minute of it, focusing on your breathing to take your mind off the past and future and to engage in the present, right there right now! It was such an amazing feeling. The things that the teacher says to you while your doing your workout is enlightening also, just loving your body and nourishing your body because its there to serve you each day. Also towards the end of our session we do a bit of meditation, i haven't quite figured it out but i like it!
The second session was a little more intense for me.. a lot of the moves were much harder for me so i got a little distracted on trying to keep up with my breathing and being able to perform the moves they were asking us to! But i also realized that its not about doing the moves correctly its about focusing on your body and what is comfortable for you. It's also involves a lot of flexiblity, which i don't have much of. :)
ALl in all i've had a pretty good experience with my yoga class so far!

My Happiness Project
I've started this thing called a "happiness project" probably around feb or march of this year... i just now realized that it was important to the discovery of myself and the things I love and want out of life. I have come up with "the happiness project" after reading a book titled that by gretchen rubin (great book) and it made sense in my mind that people should really take the time to discover this in themselves... what makes you truly happy and how to get to a happier state of mind.
I owe a big thanks to a couple of people that have really set me on this path to happiness! You know who you are... challenging me and having deep discussions about being happy and all kinds of things that just come to mind. I love to ask questions and its even more fun when others ask and want answers too. :)
I've looked back on this year and just realized how great of a year its been i've done so many things that are new and exciting and i'm learning that happiness is very important in this life! Just a quick preview:

These are just a few things that have made this year great for me so far!
I'm very excited to continue this journey and to experience new things and to grow as a person. I can't explain where i have come from in my life and things are starting to make sense to me, as far as why and how things happened... I love to just try new things and see what life has to offer for the day.. i try to have a positive attitude most of the time and when i get down i find a way to get back up and continue to live in happiness! :D Every little action we make has some effect and we have the choice to make it good or bad!
